The Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics Domain funds support Open Data initiatives and accelerate the development of standards, infrastructure, analytics, research, and pilots that strengthen Ethereum’s multi-chain ecosystem and create a strong foundation for the adoption of the Open Intents Framework (OIF).
Domains are the vehicles through which trusted and experienced stewards manage capital within clearly defined areas to solve Ethereum’s Biggest problems per Gitcoin’s 3.* vision. GG24 is the first Gitcoin Grant round to utilize Dedicated Domains as allocation managers and will take place in October 2025.

Proposed mechanism: Curated QF round during GG24 (50% budget) with a single Retro round ~4 months later (50% budget)
Program | Description | Lead(s) | Budget |
---|---|---|---|
A. Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics QF Round | This curated QF round will take place during the two GG24 Core weeks (mid-October) and will distribute matching funds to approved projects based on verified user donations through the Quadratic Funding mechanism. It will leverage the QF solution developed by Giveth in collaboration with Gitcoin. | Rohith, Sov | $150,000 |
B. Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics Retro Round | Approved projects are automatically eligible for the Retro Round in this domain, which will allocate up to $150K to initiatives based on their Open Intents-related R&D. Progress reporting and retroactive reward distribution will take place through Karma GAP approximately four months after the Retro Round begins. | Rohith, Sov | $150,000 |
TOTAL | $300,000 | ||
Current Funds Raised: | $50,000 | ||
Anticipated Gitcoin Match | $200,000 | ||
Fund to be Raised | $50,000 |
Program Operations and Domain Governance
The domain is stewarded by Rohit Malekar and Sov, who oversee program operations, grant allocation, and domain strategy. Programs within this domain have access to the resources and network of the Open Intents & Agent Infrastructure ecosystem (https://www.openintents.xyz) and are free to adopt allocation tools and methodologies that align with the domain’s purpose.
Domain Fees.
In line with emerging best practices, approximately 10% of the domain budget will be used to cover operations, communications, software, and administrative costs.
Below are detailed plans from the GG24 rounds in the Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics Domain.
A. Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics QF
This curated QF round will take place during the two GG24 Core weeks (mid-October) and will distribute matching funds to approved projects based on verified user donations through the Quadratic Funding mechanism. It will leverage the QF solution developed by Giveth in collaboration with Gitcoin. Round Budget: $150K USD pre fees
Round Operators: Rohith Malekar and Sov
Timeline: Application in the first two weeks of October, Donations / Allocations in the second two weeks of October
Core Criteria
Projects should demonstrate a proven track record and a clear intention to contribute to Ethereum Interoperability Standards, Infrastructure, and Analytics, thereby supporting a strong foundation for the adoption of the Open Intents Framework (OIF).
-
Advancing Open Data initiatives to improve accessibility, transparency, and interoperability across Ethereum applications.
-
Developing and promoting Ethereum Interoperability Standards to ensure seamless integration across projects.
-
Building or enhancing infrastructure that supports Ethereum’s multi-chain ecosystem, including tools, APIs, and protocols, with additional emphasis on solutions that advance Open Intents Framework (OIF).
-
Creating analytics solutions that track usage, performance, and adoption of Open Intents-enabled applications.
-
Researching Ethereum interoperability, user behavior, and framework optimization to inform best practices.
-
Running pilot programs that demonstrate practical implementations of OIF standards in real-world applications.
Quadratic Funding
Quadratic Funding amplifies community support by giving projects more weight when backed by many contributors, not just large donations. Gitcoin has successfully used QF to fund open-source projects and public goods, rewarding initiatives with broad community backing.
This round will combine the Human Passport system for contributor verification with the Giveth QF platform, supported by Gitcoin, ensuring fair, transparent, and community-driven fund distribution.
B. Interop Standards, Infra, and Analytics Retro
The Interop Standards, Infrastructure, and Analytics Domain will allocate 50% of its budget ($150,000) through a Retro Rewards framework, designed to reward projects based on demonstrated progress and measurable contributions toward the adoption of the Open Intents Framework (OIF).
Matching Pool Aim: ~$150K pre fees
Round Operators: Rohith Malekar and Sov
Timeline
Progress Reporting & Tracking: Starting November 2025, approved projects will submit updates on their Open Intents-related R&D, including milestones achieved, technical integrations, and community engagement.
Review & Reward Distribution: In March 2026, domain stewards will evaluate progress and allocate Retro Rewards through Karma GAP, ensuring transparency and fair distribution based on verified contributions.
Evaluation Framework:
To focus on tangible outcomes, Retro Rewards will be assessed using the following criteria:
- Open Intents Integration: Extent to which projects implement or support OIF standards, infrastructure, or tools.
- Technical Progress: Completion of measurable R&D milestones, prototypes, or pilot implementations.
- Open Data & Analytics Contributions: Development or enhancement of interoperable data, analytics, or monitoring tools that support the OIF ecosystem.
- Community Impact & Adoption: Engagement with developers, users, and other projects to promote adoption of OIF standards.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Contributions to shared resources, documentation, or standards that benefit the wider ecosystem.
Up to 5 guest reviewers that are vouched for by the Open Intents team will help review the Retro submission and influence the final rewards.
Projects may be required to self-report relevant metrics, including but not limited to contributor engagement, user adoption, and integrations, to demonstrate verifiable progress. These quantitative signals will be blended with expert stakeholder judgment to ensure allocations capture both measurable outcomes and qualitative impact.
This framework ensures that Retro Rewards are distributed not based on promises or intentions alone, but on verifiable, concrete contributions that advance the Open Intents ecosystem.
Note: Projects participating in either program must comply with Gitcoin Grants’ ethical and community standards as well as OSS licensing requirements.
