:seedling: Public Goods Funding

  • Ecosystem + cause rounds were announced during Schelling Point and ETHDenver, alongside the first Gitcoin Aqueduct partner!

  • The workstream is pushing hard this week to hit >$1m in funds raised for the main pool in GR13 alone.

  • Forward planning for the library and public goods weekly continues to improve, with guests from across the ecosystem planned for the rest of Q1.

  • Several micro-grantees have started to showcase their work. Verses put their latest drop forward last Wednesday, and Crypto Culture and Society has formally launched Semester II.

:blue_heart: Fraud Detection & Defense (FDD)

  • Stay updated on our progress in our FDD Weekly Update every Monday at 11am EST in Discord, or review the slides.

  • Data analysis shows that XGboost ML algorithms perform significantly better than the current random forest model implementation. This discovery is a direct result of the community model squads work.

  • Grant reviews are currently happening within 4 days and will be less than 48 hours during the last week before and the first week during GR13. GIA deployment for all reviews is blocked by legal concerns of Gitcoin Holdings.

  • Multisig changes are happening as the multisig keyholders which act as oversight of the workstream lean into their role and are actively making adjustments based on the workstream expectations. Our recent additions are going through a nomination and voting process which is being refined.

:art: Merch, Memes & Marketing

  • The Gitcoin Primer is live with a 5-10 minute walk-through on the vision and mission of the Gitcoin ecosystem and how to get involved. Check out the TLDR - What is Gitcoin?- thread as well for further context.

  • The second Can Devs Do Something?!-meetup took place during ETHDenver. Over 40 people joined us as we vibed, ate donuts and discussed everything from Hackathons to memes.

  • We received a ton of great submissions on our 4 bounties posted to the Schelling Point Hackathon. The winners have been contacted and bounties paid out. Check out the How to bridge to L2’s blog post to read the winning submission for the blog post bounty!

  • We’ve set up custom m-m-m.eth subdomains for our contributors in order to easier integrate and use the coordination tools in the MC party-suite.

:date: Upcoming community events

  • Community Onboarding Call! New to Gitcoin? Every other Monday we’ll tell you all about how we’re organized and how you can become an active contributor. The next one is Monday, February 28, 1:00pm - 2:00pm ET. (If you haven’t applied, do this first!)
