This proposal suggests creating a visual infographic of Gitcoin Grants history — showing the messy, beautiful, evolutionary journey of the program. To make it accessible globally, we will also run a localization pilot by translating the infographic into Hindi and Odia, engaging new communities in India and testing how visuals + local languages can improve onboarding.
Gitcoin has a long and evolving history, but new Citizens often find it overwhelming to understand past Grants Rounds.
A visual storytelling tool will:
Simplify onboarding for Citizens and grantees.
Celebrate Gitcoin’s evolution as a community.
Provide a shareable resource for education and outreach.
Adding localization ensures inclusivity: many potential contributors outside English-speaking regions find governance inaccessible.
