Introducing Stewards Governance

Hi friends! I’ve been asked to serve as a steward to help guide the next steps of this beautiful thing.

  • Statement of intention: I believe deeply in creating opportunities for people to have more power and agency in their lives and communities. I also :heart: when people experiment with new approaches to doing this. My goal is to help enable the positive sides of the DAO experiments to take hold in the wider world, and to enable that experimentation with self-governance to continue in new places and forms.
  • Qualifications: I’m a professor of media studies at CU and direct the Media Economies Design Lab there. I’ve written books on cooperatives and online governance, and in several papers I’ve studied and analyzed Gitcoin (including the Stewards program). I’m currently finishing a book on the political theory of protocols.
