GG24 Sensemaking Report: User Experience & Consumer Apps

Thanks for this proposal focusing on User Experience & Consumer Apps — making crypto and web3 more usable for everyday people is clearly a core challenge for adoption.

In our proposal, we didn’t propose a domain but instead are exploring whether CollabBerry’s contributor-level allocation and accountability tools could serve across domains as complementary mechanisms.

What connects here is that UX is not only external (toward end users), but also internal (toward contributors and teams). Many projects building consumer apps struggle with invisible coordination costs: ensuring contributors feel fairly recognized and rewarded. A poor internal UX around compensation can undermine even the best external product UX.

CollabBerry is experimenting with a lightweight social mechanism of continuous peer-to-peer assessments, which produces a transparent contributor reputation layer and automates allocations accordingly. For consumer app teams, this could lower friction internally, helping contributors stay motivated and aligned while focusing on external UX improvements.

Do you see contributor-level accountability as a complement to the consumer app UX conversation — essentially, making the builder experience as seamless as the user experience?"
